Normally I expect the month of August to be hot but obviously for those in the US, July had the mercury elevated around most of the country. Hoping everyone is doing well as we have entered the second half of 2023, my friends in Canada and US are dealing with poor air quality due to forest fires, primarily in Canada. Most of the Midwest is dealing with low rainfall levels, so hopefully we do not have any issues with fires due to the dry conditions - not a good combination was we are looking at Fourth of July in a few days, let's hope everyone is sensible in their celebrations. Hard to believe the month of April is over but when I look back at my schedule, I was only home one weekend during the month - capturing ice hockey games or flat track motorcycles. This past month was good, numerous photo opportunities with motorcycle racing, ice hockey and wildlife. The temperatures in the Midwest have been all over the map, with spring like days but also snow and ice days and single digit temperatures. Every year I say something about it's hard to believe the end of the year is here already but I can honestly say that this was a long year for my photography adventures. Spent more time on the road with my cameras, including more airline flights, than ever before.
