Tim Lester Images Monthly Update
Well a quarter of the year is gone already, I must be having fun since I don't remember January or February! Must be something with the weather, it's just not normal - at least not here in Central Illinois. I am staying very busy so that might be part of it also.
One project I am involved in this year is called Project 52, we are given a weekly assignment with a theme or subject with no detail to detailed instructions and have to use our skills to come up with an image. It's been very challenging and has required me to get way out of my comfort zone. Then at the same time is good to see what different people come up with based on the instructions. It's an online project, with photographers from around the world, individuals taking part are novices to full time photographers.
The first image this month is from Horseshoe Bend, outside of Page AZ, this area is before the Grand Canyon. This is one location that is very easy to reach, park your car and hike for a half mile and you are there. If you have an issue with heights, stay away from the edge, it's about 1000 feet drop to the Colorado River. There are no guard rails and you are warned about staying away from the edge - provided you actually read the signs. This image does not do justice to the size of this location, it's massive.
Since Mother's Day is coming up, I let my wife choose the second image this month; so for the mom's out there, here are some flowers for you. The image was shot in Grafton, MA at our good friends house, they had some wonderful flowers blooming in the front and back yards and I could not resist taking some images. Thanks Dawn!

For the hockey fans in the Central Illinois area, I have posted images from the Peoria Rivermen Alumni 30th anniversary game. Head over to http://prints.timlesterimages.com locate the Ice Hockey folder and select Rivermen Alumni and locate your favorite player from the past teams, order a print, a mouse pad or cup. For those people outside the area, 2012 is the 30th anniversary of professional sports in Peoria. The Peoria Rivermen (originally the Peoria Prancers) in Ice Hockey and Peoria Chiefs (originally the Peoria Suns) in Baseball, both bring back some great memories for me.

Right click on the text for the format you need and select Save As, save to a location on your computer that you can remember and change the background as needed for your OS.
