Monthly_Update Message
We have hit the halfway mark of the year, six months down and six to go - hard to believe the year is half over. Long-time subscribers know that we normally provide a Fourth of July fireworks display as one of our images this month but we have decided to try something different; let us know by sending a comment if you like this or not.
Last month we had an image from San Francisco; this month we are traveling across the country to another major city with the skyline of New York City as viewed from New Jersey. We arrived early afternoon to find some low-hanging clouds but really only One Trade Center was partially hidden from view. Camera Data: 24mm 1/30 sec F22 ISO100
The second image is a composite of images from twelve years of capturing the same race and these are of one rider. The rider is Briar Bauman, originally from Salinas, CA, accomplishing an amazing feat that has never been done prior to last Saturday night - he was able to win on four different brands of motorcycles at the Lima Half-Mile in Lima, OH over the past dozen years. Lucky for me, I have been able to capture images from those different brands he has ridden. Upper left is a Kawasaki, upper right is an Indian Motorcycle, lower left is a KTM and from Saturday night, in the lower right is a Harley-Davidson. Here's a link to download the appropriate version of this month's image for your desktop, one for standard screens and one for wide-screens along with a Mobile Phone Image. For desktop computers or tablets, Right click on the text for the format you need and select Save As, save to a location on your device and change the background as needed for your OS.
For Mobile devices, most mobile phones require a long press and a menu popup will be displayed, click save then follow the steps for your operating system to set as your background image.
