Happy New Year! Hope all of your dreams and wishes came true in 2014 and hopefully 2015 is prosperous and great for everyone. Seems like this year flew so quick, I certainly had a busy schedule for a majority of the year - looking for a full schedule of photography jobs this new year. The first image this month is for the 'not so' normal weather we seem to experience so often. This winter I have missed having any snow falling on my head, the only snow we have had in Central Illinois was during a time I was out of state ...Continue Reading

Can you believe this is the last month of the year? Does not seem like Christmas is a few weeks away. The month of November was filled with events for myself, some good, some bad and a little unique. The most unique was an Ice Hockey game that was postponed in the second period - if you have ever seen a professional hockey game, you know there are injuries in every game. It was not an event for the squeamish, so I will not go into the details of the injury, let's just say a player was cut by a skate. Like most hockey tr ...Continue Reading

The month of October is complete, hopefully all of my friends in the US enjoyed Halloween. Here in the Midwest, it seems like fall does not want to end and we still have some nice colors being displayed. As I type this months newsletter, the temperature is dropping in Central Illinois and we are expecting the low to be in the mid-20s. It's temporary as the temperatures will be back in the 60s in a few days, curious if we see any of the white stuff before Thanksgiving this year. The first image this month is from a soli ...Continue Reading

Welcome to the month of October, normally a wonderful month of color in the United States with the fall season. Seems like the fall color really started early this year and I guess we should expect the white stuff earlier than later. Hopefully my friends out West are surviving with the recent snow falls. This morning, Rocky Mountain National Park closed Trail Ridge Road after 3 foot drifts were found in the West and East sides of the mountain range. This month images are all about long distance travels, by water or road ...Continue Reading

Summer is unofficially over with Labor Day weekend, seems like spring was just beginning - the year is flying by! The Midwest was able to experience real heat and humidity the past few weeks, hopefully we don't have to deal with that anymore this year. Ironically here in Central Illinois, the trees are confused with the current season, we are already seeing leaves changing colors and falling off the trees - may not be a good sign for the remainder of the year. The first image this month is from the state of Maine, a po ...Continue Reading

Summer is nearing the end, with kids heading to school soon but we should not talk too much about that. Hopefully everyone has had a great summer and your weather has been good in your area. Hopefully Mother Nature brings some rain relief to the West coast. Here in the Midwest, we have had our Air Conditioning off more this past month than I can remember - I am not complaining, the fresh air is wonderful. Our images this month are going to be sending us half-way across the country for our two images, around 1200 miles b ...Continue Reading

Summer is here and the year is half over, where does the time go? For my friends in the US, it's a short work week and hopefully everyone has a great holiday weekend. This month you will have options for something a little different, hope you enjoy them. The first image this month is a wider view of Tonti Canyon waterfall from Starved Rock State Park in Utica IL. You will notice there are two waterfalls shown here, the one on the right is the normal waterfall while the one on the left occurs occasionally when there is ...Continue Reading

Can you believe that spring is nearly over and summer is right around the corner, also the year is nearly half over! May was a busy month but included a short road trip for myself to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was nice to escape for a few days and visit some area's that have been wanting to shoot for some time. This month we will give you some hot and cold images, hope you enjoy them. The first image this month is sunset with the Marquette Harbor Light, located on Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan. This ima ...Continue Reading

Welcome to May, with most of the country experiencing April showers we should expect flowers to be in full blown shortly! Along with flowers, I would like to wish all Mothers a Happy Mothers Day later this month. Last year at this time we were talking about how much rain most of the United States were seeing and floods around the Midwest. Now we are seeing Southern Alabama and the Florida panhandle receiving hurricane like rain fall from a recent overnight storm - hopefully all my friends are safe in those area's. The ...Continue Reading

Happy April 1st to all of my readers around the world, wish I had a good April Fools joke but I do not. Hopefully the images this month are not considered jokes and that you really enjoy them as much as I enjoyed capturing the moments in time. I am sure Mother Nature has some wonderful weather in store for everyone this month, so let's hope she is kind to everyone. With the first image this month, we have basically completed our journey of National Parks and Monuments from last years trip, so enjoy a little view from R ...Continue Reading
