Every year I say something about it's hard to believe the end of the year is here already but I can honestly say that this was a long year for my photography adventures. Spent more time on the road with my cameras, including more airline flights, than ever before. Not to say I did not have a great deal of windshield time, driving out to the NorthEast three times and two-thirds of the way to the Pacific Ocean. Hoping everyone had a wonderful year and are looking forward to 2023.If you would like to purchase a gift from m ...Continue Reading

Did everyone have a good Halloween and steal the good candy from your childs collection? Hopefully the fall colors have been great in your area and you have taken some time to enjoy the show of color. My October was extremely busy with trips on both ends of the United States, early in the month I was in Florida and about a week later traveled to the Pacific Northwest in Washington state. Assumed we would be there late enough to see some colorful scenes but learned that in Washington state the leaves change color later t ...Continue Reading

Summer is officially over and Mother Nature has surely made that known here in the US causing plenty of havoc from Alaska to Florida. Couple of weeks ago the remnants of Pacific Typhoon Merbok hit the Western and Southwestern coast of Alaska and this past week Hurricane Ian made its way across Florida. Thoughts and prayers to all of those impacted around the world by these and other storms. Temperatures are dropping and color is starting to show, looking forward to a color fall season.Hopefully everyone is enjoying ...Continue Reading

We continue to head for fall weather around the United States, something I look forward to photographing every year. Hopefully with all the precipitation that has been soaking the country that we can have a colorful season. Speaking of water levels, hoping my friends around the country have not, or are not, impacted by the flooding over the past month. One friend in Dallas is dealing with a car that has been totaled due to the water damage, hope that is the only one. This month was one of travel for myself, being on ...Continue Reading

Hopefully everyone is doing well as we begin another month and travel around the sun another 31 days in our orbit. July was a busy month with me on the road a considerable amount of time - I was only home one weekend of the five and this month will not be much different, as I am currently scheduled to be home one weekend again. This month we have a couple of images that are from the same location, this is a park I have known about for a couple of decades but never took the time to visit. Regret waiting so long but very h ...Continue Reading

Hopefully everyone is doing well and preparing for the weekend. For Americans, this will be our Independence Day celebration weekend with the actual day occurring on Monday. It's a day (or weekend) for spending time with family and friends and enjoying fireworks. Sadly a large number of people avoid fireworks due to the crowds and they are missing some great events - larger cities will have additional events leading up to the fireworks display so families can make a day of activities for all ages. If you have an event n ...Continue Reading

May was such a busy month on my schedule that it's easy to see how I just realized we are nearing the middle half of the year. Disregarding any photography in the area, my road travels started with the final two games of Southern Professional Hockey League President's Cup in Roanoke VA. A couple of weeks later I was in Maine and then this past weekend I spent three days in Lexington KY. This month will have three additional out of state photography events, at least there will be one weekend at home! This summer wil ...Continue Reading

Say hello to May and most people are most likely waiting for the end of month to have an extended weekend with a holiday. Sharp eyed viewers will have noticed flowers were presented last month, which traditionally would be considered a May image. This month we will provide you with the opposite version with a little storm system. The other image is just a few days old, from the 2022 SPHL President's Cup Final Game 1, our local Peoria Rivermen and Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs are in the middle of a five game series ...Continue Reading

Based on the calendar, it's spring time, but as I type this message there is white material falling from the sky! That's the bad news, the good news is the ground is too warm and nothing is sticking, just turning to moisture. For my friends in the NorthEast of the US, I can not promise this weather will not produce snow for you. If we are talking about moisture falling from the sky, last month I was able to travel to Florida for motorcycle racing. Mother Nature had other idea's, during the five days I was there, the&nbs ...Continue Reading
