Who's ready for spring to arrive? Honestly I have mixed feelings, on one hand my photography services are in demand and my summer is nearly booked. On the other hand, I have not completed all the photography projects I was hoping to accomplish over this winter, so a few more weeks of freezing temperatures would have been good for my plans. In typical Midwest weather style, it's going to be in the 50's and 60's for the next few weeks and then we will get a snow storm - let's see what Mother Nature has in store for us. La ...Continue Reading

Are you enjoying the current winter weather? If you live in the Northeast US, most likely you are finally dug out from the recent snow storm. If you are in the Midwest, you are probably preparing to deal with a large amount of snow. Seems like most of the southern portion of our country is dealing with lower than normal temperatures, with Florida experiencing some freezing temperatures over this past weekend. Stay warm and safe if you are traveling. For those who are interested in astronomical interesting facts, there wi ...Continue Reading

Welcome to 2022! While I would love to say things are going to be very different this year, I am not sure they will be. Sending virtual good wishes to everyone and their families, hopefully you are staying safe and healthy with a prosperous year ahead. This past year was good overall with the various COVID restrictions early in the year, still seeing lost business due to COVID related regulations but hopeful this year returns to a more normal type of year. The one area that 2021 was different, travel - I spent a la ...Continue Reading

Hard to believe the year is nearly over and we have arrived to the month of December. The fall season seemed to go slow and fast at the same time, kept waiting for marvelous color but was not able to see the vibrate colors of multiple tree species at one time. Majority of the trees in the Midwest turned brown fairly quickly while some of the soft maples turned a wonderful yellow. Most of the oak trees still have leaves, not sure if they are waiting for the first significant snow fall or not. This month we are going to a ...Continue Reading

Did everyone get the candy they were hoping for this weekend from Halloween trick or treating? Hopefully if you have children, they were willing to share your favorite candy from their stash. This month had numerous trips for myself and part of that was hoping to capture some great color in the Southeast around Tennessee and North Carolina. Unfortunately I was a little early for fall to be in full swing, by about 2-3 weeks, even though some websites indicated areas were near peak prior to my departure - guess you c ...Continue Reading

If I am being honest, the month of September was really just a blur, with a large amount of windshield time driving between events or large amount of time sitting in front of a computer monitor. While winter time should be slower, I am expecting a busy schedule which overall is not a bad thing. Not wanting to get to far ahead, hoping to get out and capture some wonderful color with the leaves over the next couple of weeks - hopefully everyone can spend some time outdoors enjoying the fresh air and colors Mother Nature p ...Continue Reading

Schools are back in session at all levels, football season is upon us, so I guess we are approaching the fall season. Feels strange as it does not seem like it's September yet but that's what the calendar is telling me. Personally it's a little strange as I dropped off my 'little girl' to college last week, seems like I was taking pictures of her starting grade school a few years ago - how time flies. For those people who have wondered why I have not been active on social media platforms the past month, I have been ...Continue Reading

Currently writing this as I sit in a Press Room at a racetrack for a MotoAmerica event, anyone who follows me on social media knows that I have been traveling to numerous race tracks this year. There is good and bad with all the traveling and luckily for most of the events I have been attending nothing I have been at was canceled due to weather, delayed or changed. Here in Minnesota there are air quality alerts due to the forest fire smoke moving across the northern part of our country, hopefully it's not impacting your ...Continue Reading
